Sorry about that!
Here are my excuses:
1. Getting my Bachelor's degree at a notoriously work-heavy school.
2. Always having roommates.
3. Limited space to set up a shoot.
4. My tripod broke. Aaaaaand, I still haven't replaced it.
5. My camera's timer function doesn't like to turn on/I desperately need a Nikon shutter release cable. (Anyone? Anyone?)
BUT!
1. I have finished my Bachelor's degree.
2. I don't have roommates.
3. I still have limited space, but the lack of roommates allows me to use all of it!
4. Ummmm, still don't have a tripod. Soooo.
5. Yeeeaaaaaaah.
BUT! (Again)
1. I'm now getting my Master's degree! So that might take up a significant chunk of my day.
BUT--Nevermind. Here's the deal.
Since I live alone now, I will have more freedom to set up shoots to get back in to model stock. The only hampers on that are that I need a new tripod and, ideally, a cordless remote shutter release. And someone stole one of my backdrops. (Not to name any names, but it rhymed with Prancesca.) So keep an eye out for new model stock, but it might be a bit before that comes. When it does come, it'll be a bit different style than what I've done before just because I chopped off all my hair. So less 18th Century, more flappers and stuff.
The good news, though, is that my Master's is going to be in history of decorative arts, so it entails lots and lots of photographic recording of stuff like furniture, clothes, silver, textiles, and fun stuff like that. So look for lots of that stuff in the near future. Other good news: I kind of have a backlog of stuff to upload, so keep an eye out for more of the mountainy stuff (it's Sequoia if you were wondering), night scenery (my new favorite thing), seascapes, and lots and lots of architecture. I'm probably also going to set up a shoot featuring my chinchilla, Mr. Darcy. Haven't decided if I'm going to dress him up or not.
After typing that sentence, I've decided that he needs to be dressed up.
